This shelf contains several rocks and minerals that are on display at the IUMSC. Although most of the work in the laboratory deals with synthetic materials, minerals are the subject of some studies. Minerals have the advantage of usually being very stable, and often of a size that the morphology can be readily studied. The minerals are part of the collection of oddities owned by Dr. John C. Huffman.
