October, 2009. Grace Piper, now 3 weeks old, visits the lab with mommy, daddy and brother. Welcome Grace!!


September, 2009. IUMSC will table at the OWAfest, the Office for Women's Affairs Fall Open House, on 24th September, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Come and learn about IUMSC and its outreach projects, about OWA and other important campus entities.


May, 2009. A warm welcome to Dr. Hyunsoo Park, our new IUMSC staff member.


January, 2009. Women in Science Chemistry Lab tour of the IUMSC facility and others.


December, 2008. Advanced Crystallography Workshop at ChemMatCARS.


August, 2008. With great sadness we announce that Kirsten Folting Streib passed away. She was a much appreciated staff crystallographer for decades and key to the success of the laboratory.


January, 2008. Reciprocal Net site software version 0.9.0 has been released.


Sepember, 2007. The IUMSC has begun a transition from a service-only to a user-and-service facility. All instruments are now available to trained and authorized users. Ten computers in the entrance area are set up with crystallographic software and databases and available upon walk-up.


July, 2007. A new dual source single crystal diffractometer (ApexII Kappa DUO, Bruker) was installed and will be commissioned through the fall.


June, 2007. Derek Piper joins the laboratory as System Administrator and Informatics Specialist.


May, 2007. John C. Huffman retires. For several decades, he led the laboratory and pursued both crystallographic and informatics projects. We wish him a pleasant retirement.
